Relay For Life and Colleges Against Cancer is an organization on the University of Toledo’s campus that helps raise awareness and funds for those with cancer in the Toledo and surrounding areas. This year, the Relay For Life and CAC committee is bringing a 5k Fun Run/Walk fundraiser to the University of Toledo. Scare Away Cancer will help raise money to reach our 2016 goal while also raising awareness for the services provided in our area. With the money raised through this 5k Fun Run/Walk, cancer research and various amenities for those who have been diagnosed, such as a wig bank and hotel stays during treatment, can be provided. Participants are encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes and HAVE FUN! Participants may also bring a dog or pet they wish to have walk/run with them at the event. We will also be giving a prize to the person that comes in the most creative purple costume!
Registration will begin at 8:30 am with the race starting promptly at 10 am on October 29th at the Flatlands at The University of Toledo. Parking is suggested in lot 10 next to the Glass Bowl - in between the Tennis Courts and Stadium Drive.
*SHIRTS ARE GUARENTEED FOR FIRST 100 PARTICIPANTS, BUT SIZES ARE NOT GUARENTEED IF SIGN UP OCCURS AFTER OCTOBER 16TH*
