Ride Day Instructions
As we bring back this storied crit, we will alter this plan as it makes the most sense for riders, the city, and the timing crew. Share your feedback with us and thanks for bearing with the changes.
- Meet at the Westlake City Schools Transportation and Maintenance Center, 1097 Bassett Rd, Westlake, OH 44145
- Race Day Sign Ups are always open with cash, venmo, or directly through the web page
- First Time- receive your assigned bibs and chips
- Repeat Riders - Check in so we know that you are here. You will Re-Use your bib and chips. If you lose this, a $5 fee will be applied to get you a new set. Chips are required for accurate timing
- Whenever you arrive until 6:20 PM - Warm Up Time
- 6:20 PM - Meet at starting line (look for the checkered flag near the Scott Fetzer Driveway Google Pin) for Athlete Instructions
- 6:30 PM - Group B Crit begins with 1 control laps
- 6:58 PM - Riders will race for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, a Bell will ring signifying the last lap. Riders may attack any time after the control laps end.
- 7:05 PM - Group A instructions
- 7:15 PM - Group A Crit begins with 1 control laps
- 8:15 PM - Riders will race for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, a Bell will ring signifying the last lap. Riders may attack any time after the control laps end.
About the Ride: The criterium will feature nightly lap primes including, chip-timed splits, and a great night of racing. Riders will complete the 2 mile loop around the Clemens business park area. Rides will consist of a set time limit. After the time limit is reached, a set number of laps will then be raced. Details can be found in the timeline below.

Ride Night Timeline:
- 6:00pm - riders begin arriving, warming up looping the course
- 6:30pm - Race #1 (B Group) ride begins. Race consists of 30 minutes followed by a Bell Lap (Final Lap). Riders may attack at any time after control laps.
- 7:15pm - Race #2 (A Group) ride begins. Race consists of 45 minutes followed by a Bell Lap (Final Lap). Riders may attack at any time after control laps.
- 8:30pm ride concludes and social gathering at Sibling Revelry

- Custom 25oz Aluminum Water Bottle with Snap Lid (1 per person; not per ride). This will be available for pick up after the season
Series Funds:
A portion of the funds will be donated to BikeCleveland and their advocacy for safe streets for riders and pedestrians.
