Description
Join us in Willard for a 5K Christmas Run/Walk on Saturday, 11/23/24, the morning after the city's Christmas Parade! Funds are currently being raised for replace the current shelter near the pickleball courts and baseball fields at city park, and ALL proceeds of this event will directly benefit this project. The pavilion will be constructed in honor of long-time resident of Willard and coach Dom Fratta. It is being built to last a very long time, offering a shelter and fantastic place to watch games and hang out while playing pickleball at the park. But it can't happen without the support of our community and local businesses!
While it's totally optional, we encourage participants to dress up in their favorite Christmas-themed wardrobe or costume for this fun event! The morning will start with our timed 5K event, which will be followed by a Kids 1-Mile Holiday Hustle at the completion of the 5K, open to kids 12 and under, divided into categories of 9-12 and 8 and under.
Medals will be given to the Top 3 Overall Male and Female winners and also the Top 3 Male and Female finishers of the following categories. Additional categories might be added later, depending on the number of registrations for the race: Under 15, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
