Hero Dash - Fostering the Future

About Hero Dash:

Hosted by Cherokee County Child Welfare, the 7th Annual Hero Dash will held at Norris Park in Downtown Tahlequah.  The Child Welfare team is so excited for this fun themed event which helps us bring awareness of child abuse and neglect and the need for foster homes and volunteers in Cherokee County.  Dressing up is not mandatory, but highly encouraged with great superhero outfits adding to the fun of this event.  

All proceeds go toward fulfilling the needs of children involved with child welfare by providing clothing, school supplies, personal hygiene items, Christmas gifts, etc.  

Run Details: 

Location & Course Map - Norris Park (400 N Muskogee Ave Tahlequah, OK) Click Here for the 5k course map 

Packets/Registration & Start Time:  Registration/Packet Pickup will open at 7:00 am.  The 5k will start at 8:00 am and the Fun Run will start a few minutes later at 8:02. 

Registraion Fees - Pre-Registration is $25 for the 5k and $15 for the Fun Run.  Race Day registration is $30 for the 5k and $20 for the Fun Run.

T-shirts - Sign up by Sept 16th to get a Guaranteed shirt. 

About the Virtual Option:

If you can not join us in person, please get with a small group of your friends and family in superhero costumes, t-shirts, socks, etc, an run or walk a 5k (3.1 Miles) or 1 Mile for the Fun Run.  Take pictures and videos and share them on facebook and tell people about what you are doing and why you are doing it.   

After the event has wrapped up, we will mail superhero goodies to you.  All registered virtual participants will be mailed a packet, so no need to report your activity to us.  So we will trust that you'll sign up and make time to do your 5k or 1 mile the weekend of Oct 1-3.
