39th Annual St. Patrick's Day Run Presented by RunnersWorld Tulsa

The 39th Annual St. Patrick's 5K Run presented by RunnersWorld Tulsa will be held on March 13, 2021.   1 Mile Fun Run begins at 8:30 and the 5K begins at 9:00 (5K will use a staggered start).  Both the 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run will start and finish at RunnersWorld Tulsa at 39th & Peoria.   Along with medals for all runners, awards will be given for the overall winner in addition to age group awards and also to the teams competing in the annual school and corporate challenges.

Online registration will be available through, Saturday, March 13 at 8:00am.  You will also be able to register in person on the morning of the race.  Please make efforts to register prior to the morning of the race to avoid the crowds.  IMPORTANT NOTE: Race shirts will be available to the first 1000 registered runners, based on size availability.  Once 2021 shirts are no longer available, 2020 vintage shirts will be available to all registrants.

Race packets will be available for pick up at RunnersWorld Tulsa, 3920 S. Peoria Avenue, beginning Monday, March 8 through Friday, March 12 during regular business hours (Monday - Saturday  10am-6pm, Thursday open until 7:30pm and Sunday 1pm-5pm).  Packets will also be available the morning of the race, however, please make efforts to pick up packets prior to race day to avoid the crowds.

Race Day Activities

Race day registration will be open from 7:15 thru 8:30, while packet pick up will be available until race time.   Both will be located under the registration tent in the Coney I-Lander south lot.  Due to COVID restrictions, no race day activity will be located inside RunnersWorld Tulsa.  RunnersWorld Tulsa will be open at the conclusion of the race.

The St. Patrick's Day 5K Run will use staggered start times, dividing the field into five groups based on anticipated finishing time.  Please determine your starting group based on an estimated finish time.  Groups will be called to stage by the starter just before the start of the race and during the initial minutes of the race.  Masks or face coverings are REQUIRED while staging into the proper group before the race, along with proper 6' social distancing.  Please attempt to maintain proper social distancing while on the race course. 

Starting Groups and Times:

Group 1:  9:00 am -  Estimated finishing time less than 20 minutes

Group 2:  9:03 am - Estimated finishing time less than 25 minutes

Group 3:  9:06 am - Estimated finishing time less than 30 minutes

Group 4:  9:09 am - Estimated finishing time less than 40 minutes

Group 5:  9:12 am - Estimated finishing time greater than 40 minutes

Bottled water will be available for all runners in the staging areas.   No water stop will be placed on the course.  Please bring water if desired during run.

Awards will be presented during a brief ceremony after the 5K concludes.  After the conclusion of the ceremony, awards will be available to pick up for an extended period at the awards table.  Especially during this time, please observe COVID guidelines and maintain proper social distancing while attending the ceremony.

Porta Johns with hand sanitizer will be available.  Please observe COVID guidelines and maintain proper social distancing when in line.  

The Michelob Ultra Beer Garden will be open following race behind RunnersWorld Tulsa, serving individual containers of product.   Please continue to observe COVID guidelines and maintain proper social distancing if attending.

COVID-19

Participants/spectators/volunteers that have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or exposed to COVID-19 in the ten days prior to the St. Patrick’s Day Run or experience any of the below listed symptoms the morning of the race are encouraged to not show up or participate in the run:  fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, recent loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.

 As a race participant, spectator or volunteer, if you experience a fever of 100.4 F or more the morning of the race, you should not attend or participate. The temperature of all volunteers will be taken upon arrival at the race site. 

For the safety of everyone, before and after the race please maintain social distancing of at least 6’ at all times and be aware of others at all times.   

All runners will be required to wear a mask or face covering before the start of and after finishing the race and while in close contact with other runners, volunteers or spectators.  Masks may be removed on the course while running/walking.  Please make every attempt to maintain social distancing of 6’ from other runners while both on and off the race course. 

All volunteers will be required to wear a mask or face covering for the duration of their attendance. 

For all pre and post race activities, please maintain social distancing of 6’ and respect the safety and well being of others.
