The Sentinel

In an effort to boost morale, and introduce some friendly competition, we welcome you to "The Sentinel".

This is an open competition that will have you running or walking as far as you can over the course of the summer.

As we are all at various skill levels with a variety of commitments, there is no set end goal on the amount of kilometres you could potentially end with.

Instead, we welcome all levels of runners and walkers to set their own goals and keep track of their distance. With this said, you can compete against yourself and your own goals, or keep an eye on your teammates progress and go head to head with others.

There is no official entrance fee to participate in this challenge however we encourage you to donate $10 (or more) to our charity partner - Genesis Art School. 

This charity provides art teachers and a food program for kids living in poverty. 

With weather related disasters and of course the pandemic, funds will be going towards two main functions :

1.  Teachers - they do all the art programming to give kids an outlet to support their schooling and encourage creative endeavours.  These teacher salaries are 100% funded by Genesis.

2.  Food Program - kids are provide daily meals, and for some this is their only source of nutrient rich food.

Outside of your initial registration donation should you wish to participate in this manner, please feel free to reach out for additional sponsors for some added support.

These is a registered charity so tax receipts can be made available.

At the close of the summer we hope to have a closeout event. This will be the Final 5km or 10km (you pick) where we can try to do the last few kilometres together as a team.
