Description
The 2015 Lake Run will feature a 10K, 5K, Kid's Dash and the ever-popular Family Fun Festival!
Start the morning with the Family Fun Festival, complete with a giant slide, face-painting and crafts for the kids and food and beverages for all.
This year’s 10K will take runners back to the lake route that everyone loves to hate. Runners will climb McVey Avenue and proceed along South Shore Drive around Oswego Lake to Iron Mountain Boulevard where the finish will be down hill on Evergreen Street at Millennium Plaza Park.
The 5K will meander around Lakewood Bay and onto North Shore Drive giving runners and walkers alike a grand view of the main lake. Participants will finish on Iron Mountain Boulevard and head towards the finish on Evergreen Street.
The Kids’ Dash will begin at the finish area on Evergreen Street and 2nd Street with a quick two block dash that turns around and finishes under the finish line arch.
All net proceeds from the 39th Annual Lake Run benefit Clackamas County Women’s Center, Children’s Center, Court Appointed Special Advocates, and more. The Lake Oswego Women’s Club also provides scholarships to deserving high school seniors who have performed exemplary community service.
