The First Run & Walk

The First Run & Walk will start at the stroke of Midnight. What better way to bring in the New Year than to celebrate with hundreds of your family, friends, and neighbors?

The courses take participants along the waterfront and across 2 bridges, with spectacular nighttime views of the lights of our beautiful city. Enjoy the fitness benefits of a run or walk, and a celebration at One World Trade Center with:

* Food & beverages, including Deschutes Brewery beer
* Music & dancing with a DJ
* A winter photo op with “snow” and wintery decorations all around
* Holiday fun before and after at World Trade Center
* Costumes are encouraged – there will be contests and prizes

For those who want to start off the New Year in an extra kickin’-it kind of way, we offer the 10K Run to the traditional 5K Run/Walk. The 10K course is a double-loop of the beautiful riverside 5K course. The course follows the waterfront on both the West and East Esplanades, and runs over the Steel and Hawthorne Bridges, offering participants spectacular views of the lights of our beautiful city reflected on the water!
