If running along the beautiful Umpqua River sounds like a great way to spend your Saturday morning, you won’t want to miss the Umpqua River Run! Chip-timed by Eclectic Edge Racing, the Umpqua River Run, held Saturday August 15th, features a half marathon, a 10k, a 5K and a Kids Marathon Final Mile. Where is the Umpqua Valley you say? Oregon’s Umpqua Valley sits between the Coast Range to the west and the Cascade Range to the east halfway between Eugene and Medford on Interstate 5. Roseburg is at the heart of the Umpqua Valley where the Umpqua River winds throughout the city.
The race starts and finishes in beautiful Stewart Park along the bank of the Umpqua River. The half marathon features a combination of running/bike paths, neighborhoods and country roads with much of the course running along the river. The 10K, 5K and Kids Final Mile stay exclusively within the Stewart Park bike path system.
