Oregon State Penitentiary 5K/10K Reg Closes 5/7/19

Oregon’s Maximum Security Prison welcomes outside runners to participate in the following 2019 races:

5K/10K - Arrive 10:15-10:30am

May 17th
June 7th
July 19th
Aug 16th
Oct 5th

Half Marathon - Arrive 7:15 am
Sep 6th

Guest runners will be added on a first-come, first-serve basis and notified by email. Once selected you will be asked to provide the following (1) personal information for a background security check (full name, DOB; state ID or DL#) and (2) confirm your attendance 10 days prior to race date. Due to security protocol we have been limited to 20 outside guests per race, so confirmation is very important. If for some reason you can’t attend, the 10 days will allow us time to notify someone on the wait list. Once the background check is conducted you will receive notification of results, and will be provided further information containing the logistics of visiting the facility.

Clothing: NO BLUE CLOTHES! See attachment in EVENT INFO for important clothing requirements.

Our program is self-sustaining with no financial assistance from the State of Oregon. By Administrative Rule we are not allowed to charge inmates an entrance or race fee. Therefore, we rely solely upon donations to fund our races. A small donation would be greatly appreciated, but of course not required.
