Description
This 5K is a casual run/jog/walk for anyone who wants to work off all those Baby Ruth bars and extra scoops of Rocky Road. Participants will receive official race numbers and there will be a limited number of finisher's awards given out at the finish line. Guaranteed to be a fun way to start off "Goonies Day" - celebrated on June 7th.
The race course is a "there-and-back" 5K and will be held on the beach, as seen in The Goonies, going past Haystack rock and turning around at the beach access road used by the Fratelli family when escaping the police by joining the ORV rally. Participants will assemble near Tolovana State Park Wayside where there is plenty of parking for participants and spectators as well as restroom facilities. Participants should arrive no later than 8:45am and be prepared for a prompt 9:00am start.
