Yes! Everyone that completes the half marathon course within the time limit will receive a HUGE YuKan finisher medal.
Shirts are ordered well in advance and the sizes provided are used as estimates to complete the order. For the best chance of receiving your preferred size, be sure to pick up your shirt as early as possible. Shirts will not be mailed and are not available at any other time.
Yes! All race photos are available for free. Race photos will be posted within one week after the race. Download, post and share as many as you like, they're all free!
Yes! Be sure to review the results posted on the race website after the race.
Yes! Real-time GPS phone tracking is available with the RaceJoy app. Be sure to download the RaceJoy app and share with all your friends and family!
Yes! Real-time splits at miles 3, 6, 9, 12 of the half marathon are published on the results page as they happen. Timing splits out on the course are gathered by reading the timing chip on the race bib number. Please be sure to wear your race bib number on your front torso and stay to the side of the road. Remote timing chip reads along the course are collected near 90-95% and occasional missed chip reads are normal and expected. Timing splits at miles 3, 6, 9, 12 are not used for scoring and do not affect race results.

Yes! Race bibs are personalized with your first name when you register early. You must register by the published date.
Yes, number pick-up will be available on race day before the race starts. Number pick-up is not available at any other time.
The race has a limited field and registration will close when that limit is reached. Be sure to register early.
Parking is available near the start/finish line. There is a parking lot in front of the school and another parking lot behind the school. First come, first served.

YuKan Road Races are officially sanctioned USATF events. A USATF sanction is an official designation issued by USATF, through the New England USATF Association, which approves and licenses the holding of a competitive track & field, long distance running or race-walking event in the United States. The sanction is also a contract, which evidences the event's commitment to follow national and international rules and regulations of the sport and to provide a safe environment for the participants and spectators. Under USATF rules, dogs and wheels (strollers, bicycles, handcycles, scooters, wheelchairs, rollerblades, skateboards, etc.) are not allowed on the course.

The race is not a walking event. Half marathons will be open and supported for 3 hours. 5K races will be open and supported for 45 minutes. Runner safety is our top priority. Local police, EMT crews and ambulances will be available to help ensure everyone enjoys the day - and remains safe. Once the time limit has been reached, the race ends. After the time limit, the race will no longer provide timed results, awards, finisher medals or support from race staff, volunteers, police, medical or any other services. Participants that do not reach the half way point on pace should return to the start.
Headphones are not banned but discouraged to ensure runner safety.
Award medals are given to the top three M/F in each age group.
Overall, 19 & Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79.
Be sure to visit the tent to pick up your award before you leave (There will not be an awards ceremony). Awards are available at the race and are not available at any other time. Awards cannot be mailed or picked up.
Per USATF rules, gun times are used for scoring.

Yes, the roads are open to traffic. Area police departments will monitor and control traffic along the route. Additional police details and volunteers will be positioned at key turns and intersections. Runners must obey all laws regarding pedestrian use of an open, public road and yield right-of-way when required and appropriate.

Get reimbursed If you can’t attend this race for a number of reasons, including covered injury, illness, traffic accidents, and more. Registration Protection is HIGHLY recommended. Registration protection insurance can be purchased at the time of registration.

There is no rain/snow date for this race. The race director reserves the right to modify, shorten, or cancel the race in the case of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances that make the race unsafe. Race management will work with town and city officials to determine if a cancellation is required. The event organizer has the right to shorten or even cancel the event if, in his or her judgment, environmental conditions including weather become dangerous; in this situation no refunds will be given.
