FAQ's

Q. How do I get my SWAG?
A. Our packet pick-up will be held at Fleet Feet Syracuse (5800 Bridge St, East Syracuse, NY 13057) on Friday 12/11/20 from 3pm - 7pm and on Saturday 12/12 from 10am - 3pm.

Q. What is One NY Cares?
A. One NY Cares is a virtual run/walk/bike challenge of 200, 400, 600, 800, & 1,000 miles over 108 days

Q. What does this benefit?
A. See the list of beneficiaries here

Q.What percentage of funds goes to charity?
A. 100% of all donations go to each respective charity. $10 from each entrant on a team will go towards that respective charity.

Q.Can I combine running/walking miles with bike/wheel miles?
A. No, the One NY Cares Challenge will allow you to log your activity by whether you submit miles that are on foot - running/walking- or on wheels -biking/wheelchair.  You may log different activities in the same day, and you will be listed on each leaderboard based on the activity you declared.  Running/walking miles are only shown on the Running/Walking Leaderboard for each distance.  Bike/Wheeled miles are only displayed on the Biking/Wheeling Leaderboard for each distance.  Running and biking miles are not allowed to be combined together to complete a distance.  You may, however, compete at one distance while on foot, and at another distance while biking.  You will be able to choose your options on your daily submission dashboard in your leaderboard account.

Simply put: we have two (2) submission categories only. 1. Run/walking and 2. cycling/wheel. They will have separate maps.

Example, if you register for the 400 mile category, you will be responsible for completing either 400 miles on foot run/walking or 400 miles on the bike. They will NOT add together. It's certainly possible that you may do 250 on the bike and 150 running and not be listed as a finisher.
