HAEE 5K Race for Educational Excellence

♦The 5K race begins at the Hartwood Acres stage area and continues uphill along a shaded path past the stable, around the mansion, and downhill to a final 1.5 mile loop along a paved pathway.

♦ Parking -- Enter the main gate of Hartwood Acres concert area from Middle Road, or use the parking area between Hartwood Acres and Central Elementary or Central Elementary parking lot.  Vehicles will not be permitted to exit the parking area near the concert stage until the race is over.

♦ Race packets, bibs and T-shirts can be picked up on Thursday, October 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the pool lobby at Hampton High School, 2929 McCully Road, Allison Park, 15101.  Race packets will also be available for pick-up on race day beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the Registration tent.  Only participants selecting the 5k run/walk option will have their race timed. 

♦Proceeds from the race will be used to support innovative and imaginative programs in the Hampton Township School District.  HAEE, a volunteer-run non-profit organization, grants thousands of dollars to enrich the educational experience in each of Hampton's schools, including programs for the advancement of technology in the curriculum, hands-on innovative learning in all academic areas through special programs, and added support for special needs, physical education, and the arts.
