August 16, 2025 - August 24, 2025
Humanitarian Social Innovations (HSI) invites you to join The Human Race — a virtual event with no physical location – you can run, walk or ride on your own time or gather your family, friends and community. Run, Walk or Ride your distance anytime between August 16th and August 24th.
This first-time event is intentionally held during the week of World Humanitarian Day celebrated every year on August 19th. This global UN observance honors everyday heroes who uplift others through acts of compassion. By participating in The Human Race you’ll join HSI and their programs in a worldwide movement of supporting good people and programs, by running, walking and riding together.

How To Register:

Click Sign Up under the 5K Run, 5K Walk or the 50K Ride. If you have a RunSignUp account, you can log in and your information will populate. If you are new to RunSignUp, you will need to enter information to create an account. You can then register for yourself or add a new person.

You'll be prompted to sign the Waiver.

Decide if you would like to receive your race medal.

Decide if you would like to support by making a donation to a Fundraiser or a Team Fundraiser. Click on Team Fundraiser to scroll or search through the teams. You can also decide to create your own Fundraiser by creating a personal page, collect donations and set a personal Fundraiser goal.

You can opt-in for additional event emails and instructions and select your timezone.

Complete your registration by hitting "Continue" and submitting a form of payment.

You will receive a confirmation email of your event registration.

If you created a fundraiser, check your inbox for an email with a direct link to your fundraising page.

This August, HSI is celebrating World Humanitarian Day on August 19th by coordinating a global, virtual race called "The Human Race". This day honors all individuals around the world that are making a difference in their communities by providing aid and hope to others in need. Our race will unite people and programs from across the globe — all in support of HSI’s mission to serve and support people who make an impact.
This event will not only raise essential funds for our growth — it will celebrate how HSI has activated and empowered necessary programs and fostered positive outcomes in communities in need. Be a part of this first-time event and celebration of our work! Sponsorships range from $250 to $5,000 and include regional and global support recognition, opportunity to race along with us, complimentary tickets to our annual meeting, and options to be with us for a finisher event.
