Breakthrough Nation! Although we were eager to see you for tomorrow’s ride, given the severe weather predicted, we have made the difficult but sensible decision to cancel tomorrow’s ride. 
 
On the brighter side, you once again crushed it on the fundraising front, raising another $330,000 (and counting) this year, pushing the total amount raised since the ride’s inception back in 2013 to nearly $3.5 million, every penny of which has gone to fund breakthrough research at Penn’s Abramson Cancer Center. You continue to provide hope to those who most desperately need it.
 
We sincerely thank you for your dedication to the cause and look forward to reuniting at next year’s ride –SAVE THE DATE– September 12, 2027. 
 
Once the weather breaks, we encourage you to do your own ride to commemorate this year’s achievement. Please send us a picture, which you can share here: @breakthrough_challenge

We raise funds to support breakthroughs in cancer research at Penn Medicine's Abramson Cancer Center (ACC). Founded in 2013, the Breakthrough Challenge unites patients, researchers, their families, and friends for a scenic and inspiring bike ride through Eastern PA's beautiful Oley Valley. To date, the Breakthrough Challenge has donated over $3.1 million dollars to the ACC, funding 74 research projects. 100% of all participant-raised dollars are donated directly to cancer research.
