Walnut Lane Park Eagle Scout Fundraiser Virtual 5K

Thank you so much for your interest in helping a local park and a local student! My name is George Liu, and I am an Eagle Scout candidate from Troop 83. As part of my project to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, I will be doing a renovation at Walnut Lane Park to increase the environmental impact and aesthetic of the area. I will be planting trees/bushes as well as building benches around the trails for the public's enjoyment.

The run/walk will be a virtual 5k, meaning you can run/walk it anywhere you want as long as it is within the time frame. However, you are encouraged to use the course I have planned at the park. The virtual racing will be open from 3/20/21 until 04/06/21. Signups will close on 04/05/21. If you choose to run the race at the park, there will be painted marks outlining the course, and you can follow this map. The start and finish are at the can't-miss rock and plaque right next to the parking lot. 

In order to be eligible for the prize, you must track your 5k using your own watch/phone as well as run the 5k course at Walnut Lane Park, please upload a picture of your run tracker to this google form (if you do not know how to do this, download an app called Strava that will map your run). The finalists will be awarded medals. The results will be sent out on an excel page along with an email. This part is OPTIONAL.

The registration is $20, however, further donations are welcome. You can donate through this PayPal by clicking the link and hitting send. All funds will go directly towards the township park. Your kind contributions will allow me to get one step closer to Eagle Scout.
