Description
Join us in celebrating our 275th Anniversary for this family fun event. We are America's oldest public library in continuous use since the mid 18th Century. We began in 1743 with the help of John Bartram, Peter Collison, and John Pearson who purchased 45 volumes (some of which are still on display at our branch). The building at our current location is over 125 years old, please stop in. Today, over 275 years later, the Library contains over 20,000 volumes of fiction, non-fiction and reference books, plus audio, and DVDs. Information is also accessible through the Internet. Additionally, the Library sponsors programs for children and adults throughout the year. NASA@mylibrary is one of the highlights! The Darby Library is a member of the Delaware County Library System. With this affiliation, our patrons are able to access books from all over Delaware County.
