Bring the family and join us for the Memorial Day 5k presented by Gingerbread Man Running Company! This year the race will take place at Keystone State Park, due to restrictions at Idlewild. We plan to be back there next year though!
We are excited to announce that the Jamie Cordial Hall Foundation is going to be our race charity again this year! A portion of the proceeds of this race will go to the JCH Foundation, which assists children and others in need in the community. Visit https://www.jchfoundation.com to learn more!
The "Race for Jamie" is a scenic 5K race that takes you through the Keystone State Park, beginning at the beach. There is a "Cody's Dash", a toddler 100 Meter Dash that will take place right before the 5k start!

NEW for 2021, we will be introducing a Rucking division. This is an official https://goruck.com race. Learn more about it at https://www.goruck.com/rucking-101. All participants will receive a GORUCK patch and the top 3 male and female participants will get an award!
The requirements: Wear a Ruck/backpack with the standard weight-10# for participants 150 lbs. and under, and 20# for those over 150 lbs. Your ruck will be weighed at the beginning of the race. No participants will be weighed, weight requirements are on the honor system. Most females carry 10# and most males carry 20#. Weighted vests are NOT permitted unless you have the GORUCK Ruck Plate Carrier. That will be accepted. You must wear a backpack with the weight on your back at all times during the race.
We have a COVID plan in place to keep our runners, volunteers, and staff safe. Please read the waiver and COVID plan before signing, this information is important. Some highlights include:
NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION - BIBS MUST BE PICKED UP before the RACE AT GINGERBREAD MAN RUNNING CO.
TEMPERATURE CHECKS WILL HAPPEN WHILE IN YOUR CARS WAITING TO PARK - Should anyone have a fever of 100.4 in your car, you will ALL be asked to leave. Please consider NOT carpooling for this reason.
MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES EXCEPT WHEN RUNNING
NO WATER STOPS, NO FOOD AT FINISH LINE (water bottles provided at the start and finish)
NO AWARD CEREMONY, NO CONGREGATING AT THE START OR FINISH FOR ANY REASON - Please remain in your car till the race start time or spread out through the parking lot. After you're done running, please head straight to your car.

HAND SANITIZER PROVIDED AT START AND FINISH
RACE START WILL BE STAGGERED - We will be staggering the runners 15 people every 30/45 seconds. 8:00 minute miles and under will go first. Runners will stay socially distanced while waiting for their start.
PLEASE DO NOT COME IF YOU ARE SICK, HAVE BEEN SICK RECENTLY, OR WERE EXPOSED TO COVID. See waiver for more details.

This race is dependent on State and local restrictions. Should COVID conditions change, or restrictions, the race may be moved to a secondary location. Please keep an eye on our Facebook event page for updates!
The kids races begins directly before the 5K, which will start promptly at 8:30.
Race cost is $25 for the 5K and $10 for the kids races. The Toddler Dash is for ages 0-3. The 5K Run, Walk or Ruck is for all ages.
No paper registrations accepted the day of the event. Same day registrations MUST be done through Run Sign Up.
5k price increases May 18th to $30. Register by May 17th to be guaranteed a custom Gingerbread Man insulated water bottle. Water bottle give away are for 5k registrations ONLY. We're doing something new this year in lieu of race t-shirts.
Children in strollers are free to ride in the 5K with a paid adult registration.
No Refunds or Exchanges. The race date may be moved due to inclement weather.
