Description
Spring Ahead with the perfect race to kickstart the season!
Will you take on the flat and fast half marathon OR the ELEVATION CHALLENGE 5-miler up the Switchback!
The Spring Ahead 1/2 & 5 to benefit Schuylkill River Greenways will start and finish at Union Township’s Union Meadows recreation complex. After the race, all runners over 21 will receive a free beer at the Fork & Ale!
**T-shirt DEADLINE** Register by 2/26 to guarantee a shirt--then until inventory runs out!
When: Sunday March 10th 2024 (The day clocks "spring ahead")
Where: 100 Campbell Ford Rd, Douglassville, PA 19518
Start time: 10 am
Half-marathon course: The course will loop around the Berm Trail, then run the SRT to Douglassville and back.
Five-mile course: The course will start on the SRT and then veer off at 1/2 a mile for a two mile climb to the tippity top of the Switchback Trail (and then back down)!
Swag: All runners who register by 2/26 will receive a unique race-themed T-shirt; Half-marathon finishers will receive an artist-designed finishers medal
Awards: The top three M/F overall and the top three M/F in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Winners will win receive engraved plates to attach to their finishers medals.

Bib Pickup: Bib pickup will open at 9 am on-site for both races.
Parking: Parking will be available in the lower Fork and Ale Parking Lot, the trail parking lot, the boat-ramp parking lot (1/4 mile from start) and along the access road to the boat ramp parking lot. See map.
Water Stations: There will be water stations at miles 3, 7, and 9
Portable Restrooms: There will be restrooms in the start/finish area and on-course at miles 3, 7, and 9.
