Description
The Crushing Cancer Charity Swim to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 5:30 pm in conjunction with the Mid-Atlantic Multisport Open Water Swim Series.
On this evening, in addition to our regular training session, we will be offering one-mile and half-mile timed swims on a separate course set up adjacent to the normal training swim course. Both of the timed swims will start at 5:30 pm and you must check-in at the registration tent between 4:45-5:15 pm. While there is no entry fee to participate in the timed events, we do ask that everyone who does swim make a tax deductible donation of $35 or more to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to support Brian Kozera’s fundraising efforts for LLS as he competes in the Ironman World Championships in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii this October. Brian is a Mid-Atlantic Multisport coached athlete and team member who helps out at the Open Water Swim Series. Brian is also a stage IV cancer survivor, enduring 20 rounds of chemotherapy followed by a bone marrow transplant in May 2015.
Your contribution to LLS will help fund research, technology, and treatments that save lives like Brian's every day. Every donation – no matter the size – makes a difference and we appreciate your support.
