Draft-legal Triathlon Camp

June 23–27, 2024 Gettysburg, PA 17325 US
Sharpen skills, ramp up fitness, re-energize motivation.

Description

Sharpen skills, ramp up fitness, and re-energize motivation during our four-day USA Triathlon designated draft-legal camp in historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

Designed for youth, junior, and NCAA draft-legal triathletes, Draft Camp focuses on sharpening skills through repetition, ramping up fitness through daily training and recovery, and re-energizing motivation through friendly competition. And our late June timing provides a perfect daily training environment for youth and junior draft-legal triathletes leading into the National Championship July 13–14, and NCAA triathletes preparing for their fall 2024 collegiate season.

Camp Selection Process

Draft Camp attendance is selective.

Our camp director and coaching staff have the discretion to select a cohort of athletes who, based on chronological and developmental age, sport experience, and goals, will best allow for the camp objectives to be met.

Athletes must have a road bike with drop-style handlebars. Triathlon bikes, TT bikes, or bikes with non-removable aero extensions will not be allowed.
Athletes must be proficient in cycling shoes, including stopping, starting, and clipping in/out.
Athletes must be confident riding in a close group, holding a line while cornering, and maintaining speed by changing gears.
Athletes must have prior triathlon experience. Draft-legal racing experience is preferred but not required.
Athletes must provide a link to a race result for a super-sprint or sprint distance event from the past 12 months.

Athletes will complete the registration process, answer screening questions, provide a link to a race result, and authorize a credit card for payment. If selected, a confirmation email will be sent and the credit card will be charged.

Camp Location

Founded in 1832—nearly 30 years before the start of the Civil War—Gettysburg College is at the center of our nation’s history and a short drive from Baltimore, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. Daily training will combine a mix of campus facilities and winding roads through historic battlefields.
