Eric Hussey Memorial 5K Run/Walk

Please join us for the 2nd annual race and memorial walk honoring the life of Eric Hussey!  Held Sunday, October 7th, on the beautiful Yough Trail in Boston Pa. This makes it a fast and flat course with excellent fall scenery along the bike path.

 
Our event is both a competitive 5K run for athletes of all abilities as well as a 1 Mile health walk that is a memorial run for Elizabeth Forward teen Eric Hussey, who was tragically killed in a car crash in 2016. On The Run Sports Race Management will handle the timing, scoring, set up of Start/Finish area. The race directors will offer refreshments, prizes, auctions to participants!

Event details and schedule
 

RACE START 10 AM, Walkers proceed behind runners same time.

Parking- is near or under the Boston Bridge in Boston PA (Elizabeth Forward, PA).  Soccer field may also have extra overflow spaces.

Check in begins 8:45 AM at the tent.

Course- is a 3.1 Mile, level, very fast out and back on the beautiful Yough River Trail (the Great Allegheny Passage!).  In October we may see wild life and awesome fall leaves along the Youghiogheny River!

Running Awards- Overall trophy to 1st Male and 1st Female. Age group medals to 1st and 2nd in the following categories: 14 & under/15-18/19-29/30-39/40-49/50-59/60 & over.

Walking Awards-  top 3 overall.

Race shirts- quality long sleeve tech style, for pre-registered participants by Sept.24th. If extras are available after deadline, it will be first come first serve on race day.
