Description

This race is hosted by two high school seniors with the help of professional race coordinators Alisa Pitt and Doug Crytzer. The race is going to be 7k including running, biking, and orienteering. The goal of the race is to raise funds for a conservation agentcy located in the heart of the Chiquibul Forest in Belize known as the FCD. The FCD is a non-governmental organization and does not receive funding from the Belizean government, and therefore is struggling to maintain the forest. Our goal is to raise as much money as possible for this organization. All funds raised from the race will go directly to the FCD.

 What's the name mean?

  • Chiquibul: Our project is about raising awareness and protecting the Chiquibul National Forest of Belize
  • Cougar: Our school's mascot is the cougar
  • Challenge: That's where the race comes in.

Please arrive by 9:00am for registration. Registration will last from 9:00-9:45am. Race starts at 10:00am
