HOW DOES THE CHALLENGE WORK?
It is really easy.
Go to the "Parks to Explore" tab at the top of the page, find a park, and go explore!
- All you do is head out and explore the parks listed on the website or go explore other parks throughout Westmoreland County.
- Do it when and where you want at your own pace. Just go and have fun!
- After your walk, run, hike, bike ride or whatever you decide to do, come back to the website and record what you did.
- You can enter all or some the following data.
- DISTANCE
- TIME
- VERTICAL GAIN
- As you keep coming back, the website will track your progress and you will be able to see where others are going, too!
- In the comments you can also post what park you visited...try to visit all of them!
- If you did something spectacular, share it. If you found a cool stream, share it. Let everyone know about all of the awesome parks and places we have in our neighborhoods!
SHARE YOUR PHOTOS
As you are out and about exploring the parks, please feel free to upload fun pics from your favorite places. Let us know the cool things you saw along the way so that the rest of the group can experience them also. It's a great way to learn new things.
Simply go to the photo tab on the website and add them as you go.
NOTE: The event administrator reserves the right to review and delete any photos that are not deemed appropriate for the general public so please only post appropriate images.
