Running on Faith

DESCRIPTION

To keep our school and community healthy and safe, Queen of Angels Catholic School is pivoting to make our 8th Annual walkathon a virtual 5K/1 Mile fun run event! We are very excited about the opportunities a virtual event will give our school and we look forward to expanding participants to include families, alumni, parishioners, and friends.  We hope that this year’s virtual race will help people feel connected in a time of isolation and strengthen our already strong community.

• The Running on Faith 5k/1 Mile fun run starts and finishes on your home course... it's VIRTUAL, so you pick the time and location!
• Your registration includes a t-shirt (if registered by the deadline)
• Not a runner? Feel free to walk the 5K... multiple days to get that 5K in is fine too!

FUNDRAISING GOALS

We prayerfully ask our Q of A community (family, friends, etc.) to consider donating to help us reach our school-wide goal. If you do not have a student to sponsor, consider donating on behalf of one of our dedicated priests.

Ways to Fundraise:

~Create a virtual fundraising page when you sign up for race and share it with your family and friends, near and far!

1. Select Donate from the top menu.
2. Select Become a Fundraiser.
3. Enter in a name for your Fundraiser
4. Enter in a goal for your new Fundraiser
5. Add a message to describe your Fundraiser
6. Complete your registration
7. On the next page use the icons to share your fundraising link with friends and family through email, Facebook and twitter.

~Collect donations, in person, and turn them into the school office.
*Offline donation amounts can be added to your virtual fundraising page, as well. Please remember to turn in any offline donations to school.

FUNDRAISING INCENTIVES

Family Prizes:

• If your family raises $50 - Your child will receive a dress down day pass
• The family that raises the most funds will receive a $50 scrip gift card

Class Prizes:

The top three classes the raise the most pledge money (based on class size) will receive the following:

• 1st place Popcorn and Movie Party
• 2nd place Ice Cream Sandwich Party 
• 3rd place Popsicle Party

If our school reaches its goal of $10,000 raised, we will have the Kona Ice Truck come to the school for students to receive a free treat.
