Sleep In to Help the Spikes Club
Not a morning person? Out of town the day of the Alumni 5K? Can’t get a sitter for the kids? For those who prefer to snooze rather than lace up their running shoes, sign up for the “Sleep In for the Spikes Club” option of the Alumni 5K and help raise funds from home or wherever you’ll be on August 3rd! Support the program from the comfort of your own bed and still have an impact on Upper Perkiomen Cross Country and Track & Field students.
Participants who register for this program will receive a TRIBE PRIDE Alumni 5K t-shirt and, best of all, everything will be mailed to you. Deadline to be guaranteed a t-shirt in your size is Saturday, July 18th.
Register as a “Sleep In” participant, by choosing “Sleep In for the Spikes Club" option, and follow the steps to register.
Don't need another t-shirt, but still want to help? . . . Financial donations are also accepted, just click the black 'Donate' button at the top of this page.
Race Course
This 5k will be run on the same course (with slight changes throughout the years) that the High School has used for the last 11 or 12 years.

Each pre-registered participant will receive a packet containing an event t-shirt and number bib at check-in, which will begin at 7:00 a.m. on race day.
Signing-up the day of the race?  Payments can be made with a credit card, cash or checks made out to 'Spikes Club' and REMEMBER - waivers must be signed by a parent or adult guardian for all participants under 18 years old.

The possibilities are nearly endless when it comes to awards - that's why we do not have all the information about this aspect of the race as of yet.  As soon as we finalize the details about awards we will post it here.

Bring your donation for The Open Link

While we are getting alumni together for this event, we would also like to give you an opportunity to give back to your community.

Please bring items to donate to The Open Link along with you when you register.

What is the 'Spikes Club'?

The Spikes Club is an organization established in 2006 to create a supportive environment for the coaches, athletes and parents of the Upper Perkiomen Cross Country and Track & Field teams.  This club is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides financial support, administrative assistance, coordination of social activities and philanthropic efforts.

Fundraising is an important aspect of Upper Perkiomen’s Athletic Programs as it provides critical funding. As athletic budgets are cut, organizations like the Spikes Club raise funds so our athletes will not go without or lose past experiences. Fundraising is essentially the lifeblood of the Spikes Club and accounts for all of this group's income. These proceeds can make a huge impact on the Cross Country and Track & Field programs provided to our athletes.
Past funding provided for things like sports equipment, winter track expenses, coaching needs, food/beverages and special team bonding events.
Looking forward, the Spikes Club is raising funds for any items needed for upcoming seasons along with all of the above.

Please remember, even small donations make an impact and any help to make fundraising efforts a success for the team is monumental.

Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference.  -  Kathy Calvin
