Description
Philadelphia Be The Match Walk+Run – April 8, 2017
Blood cancer has met its match. Do right and join the fight at the Philadelphia Be The Match Walk+Run on Saturday, April 8, 2017. Participate in our 5K, 1K or Tot Trot and help us deliver cures!
The Walk+Run is family friendly and open to all ages. All Tot Trot participants receive a superhero cape.
The Navy Yard is home to the event village, which features free refreshments, photo stop, giveaways and a marrow donor registry drive. Race day registration is simple and every participant receives an event T-shirt.
Be The Match Walk+Run
Each year, thousands of patients need a marrow transplant, but don’t have a fully matched donor in their family. They depend on Be The Match® to help them find an unrelated marrow donor and receive treatment.
The Be The Match Walk+Run raises funds to help patients with uninsured treatment costs, support continued marrow transplant research to improve outcomes, and add more volunteer potential marrow donors to Be The Match Registry®, giving more patients hope for a cure.
