Description
New this year – the inaugural End Childhood Cancer Walk/Run, formerly known as The Lemon Run, is making its way to the historic Philadelphia Navy Yard. Starting and ending at the Marine Parade Grounds, walkers and runners of all ages can enjoy scenic views all along the Delaware River while they raise money and awareness to end childhood cancer. Walkers will have the choice of a one-mile course or the standard 5k, and runners will run the 5k route!
For the past 10 years, The Lemon Run inspired hope for better treatments and more cures. This year, we have a new name and a brand new venue. With over 2,500 enthusiastic participants last year, we raised enough money to fund a Reach Grant, which is designed to drive research from the lab into a clinical trial that could provide cures for kids battling cancer. The End Childhood Cancer Walk/Run is family-friendly, dog-friendly, and stroller-friendly. Head to the ALSF Facebook photo album for some photos and highlights from last year.
