Temple Studio 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Day 5K

Out and Back course on the Ridgway Rails to Trails.   

Here is an update for this years race :

1) Due to COVID there will be SPLIT TIME STARTS.  
 🍁10am: MEN

🍁10:10am: WOMEN 

🍁10:15am: WALKERS 

2) We ask that you STAY IN YOUR CAR, until your start time.  Some folks need to warm up, and that is ok.  PLEASE do NOT congregate in groups.  We want this to be a fun, safe race for all.  

3) There will be no bathrooms/facilities/port-O-Pots this year.  So make those pit stops prior to arrival. 😳

4) MASKS: 😷 
MASKS MUST BE WORN when you leave your vehicle, up until start of race.  You may pull down while you run.  Then back on crossing finish line.  This will keep our line workers and yourself safe when crossing.  This is the same style we did for the BZ classic and The EVL race last weekend.  And it worked out well, without issue.  

5) Top Male and Top Female— Runners & Walkers—  will earn the Turkey Trophy at the finish line.   

‼️WALKERS MUST WALK !!!  
If you plan to run/walk you must sign up as a runner.  

6) All other finishers will receive a finisher “Masked Turkey” medal. Since we cannot have an awards ceremony this year. 

7) Tee Shirts will be at the pavilion for pick up after the race as well.  

8.  Once you receive your medal, water and Tee, you are asked to exit the pavilion and back to your vehicles (as you earned that yummy Thanksgiving dinner that’s waiting for you!) 🤩
Again, we aren’t having an awards ceremony this year; and trying to remain compliant and safe due to the rise in COVID cases in our area. 

9.  FINAL RESULTS AND AGE GROUP RESULTS WILL BE POSTED HERE, after the race.  As well as the Strider Monthly News Letter.  

10.  Timing is provided by Elk County Striders. 
(I am seeking volunteers for this as well,  if anyone is interested!) 
With the split timing,  I need some extra hands ✌🏻🙏

11) NO SPECTATORS.   I apologize for the inconvenience,  but this will cut back on group gatherings. Again, this worked well without issue at the BZ classic and EVL race,  and we appreciate everyone understanding.
