Description

 

•  Raise money to help local veterans and military living with trauma live happier and healthier lives

  • Ruckers carry weight on their backs to represent the weight many service members carry in the battle against trauma

•  One mile to give back. 10 miles to go all the way. All fitness experience welcome!

•  Expect a high-energy course full of positivity, music, and patriotism! 

•  It costs $7,475 to send one veteran through our life-changing 14-week program (23V Recon) - we send 12 veterans in each group

 

 

 

THE RUNDOWN:

 

TIMELINE

•  11:00 AM check in opens - get swag + free coffee + music

•  11:30 AM welcome + step-off presentation

•  12:00 PM step-off 

•  Brief awards ceremony after final rucker comes in (around 4pm) for top 3 fundraising individuals and top 3 fundraising teams

 

 

 

THE ROUTE

•  1 mile loop 

•  All ruckers receive a finisher's coin no matter how far they go

•  Ruckers that complete the 10 miles receive an ALL THE WAY patch

•  Family friendly + jogging stroller friendly

•  Dogs who get along with other dogs are welcome

•  Water Stop on course for humans + dogs

•  LINE OF HONOR to display a picture of the military member/ veteran you're honoring on Ruck Day

•  Professional DJ and M.C. to bring the energy all day

•  Food, beer, and other beverages for sale

 

 

 

WHAT TO CARRY

•  Bring your own rucksack/backpack, any style will do - or you can purchase a legit one from our partners at GORUCK by clicking this link (8% supports 23rd Veteran)

•  Load your rucksack with canned goods and clothing you can drop off at the finish line for local veterans in need

•  If you aren't familiar with rucking, we recommend carrying a max of 20 lbs - for those more experienced, cap it at 50 lbs
