About Paul

Paul Robert Overton was raised in Severna Park, Maryland, where he graduated from Severna Park High School. He went on to attend East Carolina University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management, and built his career as an Executive of Store Operations with Target Corporation.

Paul lived life with unmatched energy, optimism, and heart. He had a gift for bringing people together, lifting others up, and making every moment feel bigger and brighter. His signature “LET’S GO!!!” spirit was contagious, and he left a lasting impact on everyone he met.

He was passionate about health, fitness, and adventure—whether running races, training in the gym, cycling, swimming, kayaking, cooking, traveling, or learning something new. Paul completed numerous endurance events, including his first full marathon at the 2018 DC Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon. He especially loved sharing good food, good conversation, and good energy with the people around him, and he was proud of his Italian heritage and the joy of celebrating culture and community.

Paul’s life was defined by connection—he was a mentor, a friend, and someone who made others feel seen and supported. Even through life’s greatest challenges, he continued to inspire those around him with his strength, positivity, and determination.

Paul passed away on March 29, 2021. While his time was far too short, his impact continues to be felt every day through the people he inspired and the community that carries his legacy forward.

Today, the PRO-Vision Memorial Run is a celebration of Paul’s life and the way he lived it—full of purpose, joy, and a belief in bringing people together. Every step honors his legacy.
