Why a Virtual 5K and an In-Person 5K?
We like options! If you're unable to join us in person, you can register for the Digitail 5k Run/Walk and support our mission to "Rescue One By One Until There are None" by participating virtually.
What is a Virtual Race?
The virtual 5K can be completed at your convenience and is a way to participate in the race from anywhere. You can run or walk in your neighborhood, a running trail, on a treadmill, etc.
How far is a 5K?
3.1 Miles
Who can participate?
Anyone! Young or old, fast or slow – we encourage participants of all ability levels. Encourage your friends and family to register with you. If you refer 4 people who use your referral link to sign up, you will get your race entry fee refunded!
Can I run or walk with my furry companion?
Absolutely! Our event is dog friendly.
When do I need to complete the Virtual Race?
You can run or walk the 5K anytime one week leading up to the live race.
How do I keep track of my time?
The in-person 5K will be professionally timed by Super Race Systems. You will have a chip on your bib that will keep track of your time. For the Digitail Dash virtual run/walk, you can keep track of your time using a good old-fashioned stopwatch or the stopwatch feature on your phone - or any tracking tool such as Garmin, Strava, Runkeeper, etc. You can then choose to submit your time on the results page and join the virtual competition or if you prefer, you can get recognition for just completing a 5K without inputting your time.
How do I submit my results for the Digitail Dash?
You can submit your Digitail Dash 5K time through the RunSignSup results page by clicking on the Results tab at the top of this page and then clicking Submit Virtual Results.
How do I get my race shirt?
If you are participating in the live race, packet pickup is only available on race morning at race site. There is no early pickup at the Rescue for live participants.
If you are a virtual participant, you will be able to pick up your t-shirt at the Rescue from Monday, September 18th to Thursday, September 21 - or on race morning at FDR Park - or you can choose the shipping option when you register. Remember, we cannot guarantee all sizes will be available if you register after 9/3.
How do I get my virtual bib?
If you register for the Digitail Dash, you are able to print your personalized bib from your original registration email or by logging onto RunSignup, navigating to Profile > Upcoming Events > Manage Registration
What does my registration fee go toward?
All proceeds from this event directly support the mission of Paws Crossed Animal Rescue to "Rescue One By One Until There Are None"!
