Run With The Beavers

Casmir Pulaski Memorial State Park is located within the 4000 acre George Washington Management Area, the 100 acre Pulaski Memorial Recreation Area is a “day use” facility offering users a multitude of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. From the first class trout fishing in the spring, to enjoying a picnic, a short hike, or a cool swim in the 13 acre Peck Pond in the summer, to cross-country skiing on the 10 miles of groomed trails into the adjacent George Washington Management area in the winter, Pulaski provides year round enjoyment for all ages.

Pulaski also offers great facilities with full bathrooms and plenty of parking for all runners. After the race take a dip in Peck Pond to cool off!

Races: There are two race options for runners, a two loop 10 miler and a one loop 5 miler.

Team Competition: The 10 Mile race option will also include a team competition. Top 3 team members score. Scoring will tallied using the cumulative time of the team’s top three runners. If you plan on having enough runners for multiple teams, please assign the teams an “A” “B” designation so each team will score. For example, Tuesday Night Turtles “A” – Tuesday Night Turtles “B”

Course: We consider this course to be intermediate on the difficulty scale. It is a good transition from a cross country race or trails that do not have any rocks and roots. The loop has a great variety of terrain. You will run on some fast dirt roads and double track trails, but will be slowed down a bit with some technical single track trails to keep you on your toes. If you can keep your head up when you come around Peck Pond, you might get a glimpse of the infamous beaver at which this race takes its name.
