Course Description
Dominate the Rock on a high note, literally! Starting at the Old Rock Cafe on the west side of Chimney Rock Village, the course makes a 25-mile loop. The timed mass start begins heading east along Memorial Highway. Following the winding roads of Bills Creek, Buffalo Creek and Buffalo Shoals Roads, the course takes you on a scenic trip passing Rumbling Bald Resort and following along the shore road. Cross the iconic Lake Lure Dam and back onto Memorial Highway into Chimney Rock Village.
Enters Chimney Rock State Park and climbs up the switchback road ending at the base of the Rock with a stunning 75 Mile panoramic view of the Hickory Nut Gorge.
