YMCA REINDEER RAMBLE 5K Presented by Commonwealth Credit Union

Race Venue

1. Where will be the race be held?  At Keeneland Race Course at 4201 Versailles Rd, Lexington, KY 40510.  The Start/Finish line will be near Barn 2.
2. What time does the race start?  The race will start at 10 a.m.
3. What time should I arrive?  Please arrive at least one hour before the race start time.
4. Where will I park?  Parking is available in the main parking areas near Gate 2 at Keeneland. You may enter the grounds through Gate 2. 
5. How should I exit?  Gate 2 will be open after the event as an exit, please be cautious of runners on Old Clubhouse Lane if you leave before the courses are clear.  Gate 1 at Man-O-War and Versailles Road will be closed between 9:15 a.m. and until the section of the courses on Keeneland Boulevard is clear at approximately 12 p.m.

 

Race Registration

1. When does online registration close?  Online registration will remain open through race morning. Please register for the race before leaving for the race.
2. Can I register on race day?  Yes! Race day registration will be available for an increased fee over pre-registration fees. 
3. What do I get for my registration fee? Your registration fee includes a race t-shirt. NOTE: Race t-shirts are on limited supply.  The sooner you register, the more likely you'll get the shirt size you need.  If your size is out of inventory, select the "LATE" shirt size, and we'll order if for you and you can collect the shirt upon arrival after the race date at the High Street YMCA.
4. What is a Social Team?  A Social Team is simply a group of family, friends, co-workers, etc. that would like to be grouped as a team.  Participating as a team can make the event more fun!  Teams of 5 to 9 members will receive a $2.50 discount per person, and teams of 10 or more members will recieve a $5.00 discount per participant.  The top 3 teams will be eligible for awards after the race.
5. Is there a benefiting charity?  Yes, all proceeds are used to provide scholarships for kids to participate in programs through the YMCA of Central Kentucky.
6. Can I get a refund of my registration fee? Sorry. registration fees go to the benefiting charity and are non-refundable.

Race Participation

1. When can I get my race shirt and race bib?  
   
   • Friday, December 8th from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. - High Street YMCA (239 East High Street, Lexington, KY 40507)
   • Packets will also be available on race day starting at 8:30 a.m. at the race site.
2. Is the course totally on hard surfaces?  Yes! The course is the paved roads at Keeneland.
3. Is the course suitable for strollers?  Yes. Pushing a stroller on this course is possible. Please start in the back of the race pack.
4. Can I walk the race?  Walkers are absolutely welcome!  
5. Can I bring my dog?  Yes! Dogs on a fixed length leash are welcome. No retractable leashes please as they create a trip hazard. Owners will be responsible for cleaning up after their pet.
6. What is your inclement weather policy? The race will be conducted rain or shine. In the instance of lightning at race start time, the start will be delayed 30 minutes or cancelled if lightning is still present after the 30 minute delay.

Race Timing/Awards/Results

1. Will the race be timed?  Yes! The race will be timed by Bluegrass Timing.
2. Will awards be presented after the race?  Yes! Awards for the top three male and female finishers in each race will be presented as soon as possible after the race. Awards for the top three male and female finishers in each age group will also be presented.
   1. Age Groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34 ... 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over. 
3. Will there be other awards/contests? Yes! The top 3 teams will receive awards.
4. Can I find my finish time online?  Yes! Please click here to view the race results. They will also be posted to the YMCA of Central Kentucky's website following the event.
