RUNNING/WALKING FAQ'S
What is a virtual run? A virtual run is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. At your own pace, you can run, jog, walk, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym, or on the track. Once you're done, you submit your results and share your virtual run photos with us on social media.
Why virtual? We're all practicing safe physical distancing to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus - and this is critical. However, we cannot lose sight of our physical and mental health during this time. A virtual run provides us the ability to exercise safely while also socially interacting with our community (online). While in-person engagement is ideal, online interaction can be a healthy way to reconnect with friends, family, and our running community.
When must I complete my run? For this event you must complete your run (whatever distance you signed up for) from Saturday, Sept 5th - Saturday, Oct 3rd, anytime and anywhere.
Is there a specific way to track our time? This virtual run, like most, are based on the honor system. You may download and use RaceJoy or track your time with an app on your phone, watch, or any fitness device of your choice.
How do I submit my time? It's not required that you submit your time, but if you would like to appear in the online results as well as be able to access your finisher certificate, you will need to submit your time. You can do this by navigating to the Results Page, through the results link, search for your name and add your time.
How do I print my race bib? When you receive your Riverside Hometown Heroes Honor Run Registration Confirmation...Go to the bottom and you will see “Don’t forget to check out the virtual bib for your registration! You can view it and download it here:”
How do I get my Finisher Certificate? From the online Results Link
How do I get my T-Shirt? You have two options, T-shirts will be available for pick up, using social distancing guidelines, at the RPOA Riverside Police Officers Association located at 1965 Chicago Avenue #B, Riverside, 92507 on Monday, Oct 5th, Tuesday, Oct 6th, & Wed, Oct 7th from 2-5pm or you can pick the shipping option at the time of registration for a small fee

How much is shipping? If you choose the shipping option there is a $9 fee
When should I expect to receive my gear? Your t-shirt will ship within 1 week post event
