Q: How do I get started once I sign up?
A: Just go to the event page and click on results on the left. There will be a link on the results page to add your personal results.
Q: I see the challenge "officially" starts on May 23rd. Can I sign up after that?
A: Absolutely. May 23rd is just the first day that people can begin logging their miles, so the competitive folks who want to race to finish as quickly as possible will get a head start on anyone who signs up after that. Registration is open for the 991 mile option from Vicksburg to Gettysburg until June 30th and the other options remain open until August 31st.
Q: Is there a deadline for finishing the mileage?
A: Yes, you need to finish by October 17th. This coincides with the Gettysburg Festival of Races which includes an in person marathon, half marathon, and 5K.
Q: If I fall behind in my training, can I change distances later?
A: Yes, just contact us and we can make that event change.
Q: What do I get with my registration fee?
A: We will send you a premium long sleeve performance quarter zip shirt printed with the race logo, a laser etched insulated aluminum sport bottle, and an all weather car sticker of the race logo. You will also get a digital race bib that you can download and print at home, listing on our live leaderboard/tracking system, and a digital finisher certificate when you finish. All registrants also get a 10% discount on their race entry for the 2020 and/or 2021 Gettysburg Festival of Races.
Q: How/when will I received my swag?
A: We will begin shipping out the shirts and water bottles in early September. Make sure you include a shipping address that can receive USPS packages
Q: Does this event benefit any non-profit organizations?
A: We proudly support the work of the Paralyzed Veterans of America by making a donation to the national organization from every entry and also collect additional donations on their behalf;
