Christine's House
In 2012, Freedom 4/24 partnered with Sports Outreach Institute to build a restoration home named after Freedom 4/24’s founder, Christine Gelatt, who was just 19 years old when she founded Freedom 4/24. Christine’s House is a place of hope and restoration where victims and survivors of sexual exploitation can learn to breathe again. Since its completion, Freedom 4/24 has funded the operating costs of Christine’s House while Sports Outreach provides the staff to mentor, encourage, and empower the young women who live there.
Stella's Story
Stella has experienced more trauma in her 12 years on earth than many people will in a lifetime. She was able to call Christine’s House, a Freedom 4/24’s sponsored home in Gulu, Uganda, founded in 2012, “home” and receive food, education, medical care, as well as psychological and spiritual counseling and much more. She successfully delivered her baby and is now living in foster care.
Harriet's Story
All of her life, Harriet’s father and birth mothers have had a fraught relationship. Harriet lives with her stepmother, who does not care about her. Her stepmother did not care when she dropped out of school and she did not care when Harriet was home alone and four boys came over to her house and sexually violated her. Harriet was also able to call Christine’s House “home” where she received food, housing, education, counseling as well as the medical care that she desperately needed.
