The Sangre De Cristo's - Spur #3
Join us for 16 days from 9/19-10/4! If you need a little more boost to finish out the summer, continue past Cañon City into the Sangre De Cristos, past some of the great old peaks and along the Great Sand Dunes. Finish the hike past Zapata Falls and up at Lower Zapata Lake, in the shadow of Ellingwood Point, one of the 3 14'ers that join together above the infamous Lake Como ATV Road.
Prizes will be drawn based on your level of participation and include 1 annual National Park pass (!!!) and gift certificates to your local running/outdoor store. Plus one twist - we will now be using the RunSignUp 'self-uploaded photos' option - so to win you must share at least one photo of a beautiful place that you ran or hiked this summer!

If you don't feel like climbing, you can stop at the visitor center of the Great Sand Dunes National Park (70.15 miles)!
The National Park pass will be chosen randomly from anyone who does the full 82 miles with VERIFIED results (Strava, Garmin, etc). 2 x $20 gift certificates will be chosen at random from anyone who makes it the 70.15 miles! And don't forget - you have to submit a photo via the RunSignup 'Photos' tab to qualify.
