What is a charity entry?
A charity entry is a guaranteed race bib in the sold-out Allianz Richmond Marathon that you can claim by committing to fundraising a minimum of $750 for Sports Backers Youth Programs.
How do I claim a charity entry?
Charity entries are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once you sign up and commit to fundraising, Sports Backers will provide you with a unique registration link to officially secure your bib.
What are Sports Backers Youth Programs?
Sports Backers Youth Programs invest in the future of active living for kids across the Richmond region. We provide free fitness clubs in schools (Kids On The Move), leadership development and scholarships for high school seniors (ALL Stars), and resources like running shoes, team t-shirts, and free race registrations for kids in low-income communities.
What is the fundraising minimum?
Each charity runner commits to raising at least $750 by November 7, 2025.
What If I don’t meet the fundraising goal?
If you don’t meet the $750 fundraising goal, your credit card will be charged the remaining balance.
Do you provide fundraising support?
Yes! We’ll send you a fundraising toolkit with tips, sample language, and social media posts to help you reach your goal. Plus, our staff is here to support you every step of the way.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes! All donations are tax-deductible, and donors will automatically receive a receipt for their records.
How do I start fundraising?
It’s easy! Once you register, you’ll receive a personalized fundraising page to share with your network. We’ll also provide sample messages, social media graphics, and fundraising tips to help you feel confident and supported.
