Come join us for our annual Anderson Area YMCA Reindeer Run, Sponsored by Carson's Steak Warehouse, on Saturday, December 7, 2024 for our 1 mile, 5k, or both. Registration includes a festive long sleeve Reindeer Run shirt..
Holiday headgear and attire is encouraged for this fun, family friendly race.
Pre-registration:
Register by November 10th at noon to guarantee your shirt by race day. Sizes and quantities may be limited, so get your registration in today!
Packet pick up:
Packet pick up will be held on Friday, December 6th from 12pm until 6pm, and then resume Saturday morning, December 7th, at 7am. Packet pick up will be held at the Anderson Area YMCA front entrance under the awning. Please check your email as we will send out more information the week prior to the event.
Race Day Registration:
All registration, including Race Day Registration, will be conducted through RunSignUp.com. We will not be holding any in-person, face to face race day registration. Please register through RunSignUp.com, and then head to packet pick up to collect your bib.

Elementary School Competition
The Anderson Area YMCA Reindeer Run is proud to offer a school competition between the schools in our local districts. $500 will be awarded to the school with the highest percentage of participation, and $500 will be awarded to the school with the highest number of participants. To be counted toward the school competition, your school must be selected under the "Join a Team" option!
Participants must be registered by Friday, November 22nd at 11:59pm to be counted toward the elementary school competition.
If you are a representative from a school, you can create a group at registration, or contact chada@andersonareaymca.org to get more details on how to participate in the school competition.
Awards
Awards will be held immediately following the completion of each event, and will be held under the awning at the front of the YMCA. All results and awards will be based off of CHIP TIME due to the rolling start format.
We will be giving out awards in the following categories:
In person 1 Mile Awards:
- Fitness Swag Bag and $25 Gift Card to Gotta Run Anderson to Overall Male and Female winners
- Medals to top 3 male and female winners in age groups:
- 5 and Under
- 6-9
- 10-12
- 13-15
- 16-19
In person 5K Awards:
- Fitness Swag Bag and $25 Gift Card to Gotta Run Anderson to Overall, Masters, and Grandmasters Male and Female winners
- Medals to top 3 male and female winners in age groups;
- 5 and under
- 6-9
- 10-14
- 15-19
- 20-24

Multi-Event Discounts
Multi-Event Discounts are applied at the end of registration if you choose to participate in more than one race.
