Description
Help fight The Lou Gehrig's Disease and honor a beloved family member and others who died of ALS at the Inaugural Virginia Graham Jackson Memorial Stroll by the Lake 5k Run/Walk. It's Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. in Bennettsville, SC. This premier running event is USTAF certified, and includes running shirts, post-race entertainment, and awards to top finishers, as well as a quick, flat, grassy, and scenic course. Join us as we take to the streets, sidewalks, and paths across Bennettsville in support of ALS research and to raise money to provide quality care for the thousands of individuals living with ALS and their families. We are doing this 5k run/walk because ALS is a fatal disease. We are doing this 5k run/walk because everyday two to three individuals die from ALS. We are walking and running for those who can’t. Most people with ALS will lose the use of their legs in the first two years of the disease. What would you do, while you still could?
