The Home For Children 5K Run/Walk

The Free Will Baptist Home For Children is located in Turbeville, SC.  As their website states, “Our home is made up of regular children. They have different needs maybe than the rest of us but thank God we are here to help meet those needs. They are all precious, no two look alike, have the same personality or share the same goals. They are all God's creation and we have the awesome responsibility, just as all parents, of loving, teaching, training and caring for them.”  A 5 kilometer run / walk (3.1 miles) has been planned to financially support this ministry and their mission “to serve each child with love, compassion, and respect so that they may find faith, hope, and courage to overcome the obstacles of life and become effective citizens.”  The race is at Lynches River County Park on completely paved roads!

There will be free food and drinks but you are encouraged to bring your grill and enjoy some fun family time at the park!
