First annual Ansley Park Turkey Trot

Get a head start on those pumpkin pie calories at the First Annual Ansley Park Turkey Trot! Enjoy a 5k morning run, walk or trot throughout the streets of AP with your friends, neighbors and family. All are welcome to join us for the 1st annual Ansley Park family tradition!

12 and up is a 5K

11 and under is a one mile course in the clubhouse parking lot 

Run for fun and for a fundraiser!

All revenue, less the t shirt and small operational cost, from the race will be donated to Andrea Rizzo Foundation “Dréa’s Dream”.  Andrea was a childhood cancer survivor who was introduced to dance through her own childhood cancer journey which began at 18 months; once healed, she vowed to bring dance therapy to the very hospital that cured her. Before she could graduate from Graduate school at NYU she was hit and killed by a drunk driver on her way home from a dance performance. Her legacy and lifetime commitment lives on through Dreas dream.

The dance/movement therapists who provide Dréa’s Dream Programs in hospitals, medical settings, and schools have specific goals in mind, and while dance/movement therapy stems from a host of traditional theories and approaches, each setting requires the therapist to adapt the training to focus on specific needs.

One or your smallest neighbors, Sabella Zimmerman, age 6, will donate all revenue from the race to the Andrea Rizzo foundation in February at the Miss Pineville Pageant along with funds from her other fundraisers.
