Greenville Journal Run Downtown 5K

Friday afternoon, January 15 

Noon to 6:00 pm, Fleet Feet store, 635 Augusta St, Greenville. To avoid the last minute rush at race day packet pick up, you are hereby highly encouraged to do this Friday packet pick up. Feel free to have a family member or friend pick up your packet this day. 

Race day, Saturday morning, January 16

6:30 AM - 7:45 AM in the Card Room at the Westin Hotel. After entering the north door on S. Main St, at 120 South Main St., it's the first room on the right. If you arrive after 7:15 AM we cannot guarantee that you'll have your bib in time for the start of the race at 8:00 AM. So come early to beat the last minute rush. Better yet, please do your packet pick up on Friday, as described above.

Awards ceremony will begin at approximately 8:45 AM and will include Corporate Shield awards. 

Due to the costs incurred in planning and conducting this event, there are no refunds, deferrals, or transfer to other races. However, race fee insurance is available during registration. Thank you for your understanding. 

Q. Are dogs allowed?

A. Unfortunately, our insurance coverage does not allow for this. 

Q. Are strollers allowed?

A. For safety reasons, including safety of the child, caution is advised. Parents with strollers should gravitate toward the back at the starting area.

Q. Is it okay if I just walk the route? 

A. Yes, and you would want to start in the back for safety reasons. Please keep in mind that all participants should plan to cross the finish line no later than 9:30 (90 minute allowance). For example, a 28 minute pace walker would be fine (28 minutes x 3.11 miles = 87.1 minutes). 

Q. How is the race timed?

A. Chip timing mats will be used at the start and finish.
