5th Annual Tacky Sweater 5K

Our philosophy at Southside is that it should not be expensive to participate in a fun activity that will improve your health so we have made our fundraiser to reflect that! We will have several Southside XC items available for donation on race day so we can continue to fund this race and our team. This is a 100% non-profit event and all proceeds will be donated to Southside Cross Country! This 5K race is a pure cross country course with the exception of a few crossings. Once the race has concluded, Fleet Feet will be on site to award the winning prizes.

DONATIONS:  
There will be SHSXC items available for donation. To give an online donation, please visit this link and put "Southside Cross Country" in the memo line -- otherwise the money will not go to our team! Thanks for supporting our program! 

DIRECTIONS:  
Please use the student entrance on Frontage Rd. If coming from Whitehorse Road, turn onto frontage and the entrance will be on your left. If coming from Augusta Road, turn onto frontage road and the entrance will be on your right. The back entrance from Jacobs Rd will be blocked off for the safety of runners. Overflow parking will be located at MT Anderson on Blassingame Rd this is only a .5 mile walk from the race start. 

Awards:  
Every finisher will receive a medal from past GTC races to reflect the "tackiness" of our race. :)  
Fleet Feet will be onsite to award prizes for the top 3 finishers as well as prizes for the tackiest sweaters! 
Every $5 donation will receive a ticket to be entered into a drawing for some awesome running equipment from Fleet Feet Sports!

Course Map: 
The course is a two looped course to cut down on road crossings and make the race safer for all participants. A map can be found on our facebook event page .

5K Cost:  
$5 Pre Race until November 29th 
$10 Pre Race after Nov. 29th 
$15 Race day
