Cradle to Cross Race Series

Join Union UMC at Christmas and Easter for a1 mile race to the cradle on December 7 and a 5k race to the cross on April 12. The first race of the series takes you through Bethlehem, a recreated street of ancient Bethlehem in Irmo, SC complete with angels, shepherds, shopkeepers, Roman soldiers, and those present at the first Christmas. The 1 mile race finishes at the manger scene where all finishers are invited to linger for a praise service. The second race of the series is a 5k sunrise run on Easter morning, starting and finishing at Union's chapel where there will be praise music, a brief homily and refreshments. There will be a 1/4 mile race for children 5k and under at both the Christmas and Easter events; registration for children is $10 which includes their own t-shirt (sizes 2T, 3T, 4T available).
