Celebrate the Lowcountry’s autumn season at Charleston Collegiate School's Fall Festival at Kiawah River, featuring the Run Like the Devil 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, October 21, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Families and friends are invited to enjoy a farmers market full of local makers and goods, classic fall festival games, live music, food trucks and more. Pets are welcome and must be leashed at all times. 

With more than 2,000 acres of picturesque land, Kiawah River offers Fall Festival attendants and race participants unmatched views of the season-changing leaves in the Lowcountry. The family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Attendees are asked to RSVP online prior to the event. Parking will be $10 cash per vehicle. Parking attendants will collect payment upon arrival at the front gate. 

Check-in for the Run Like the Devil race opens at 9 a.m., with the 5K Trail Run starting at 10 a.m. and the Fun Run at 12 p.m. All proceeds support the Charleston Collegiate School’s annual fund. Pre-registration is required to participate in the Run Like the Devil 5K and Fun Run. Register by October 6th to secure your t-shirt! Registrations received after October 6th are not guaranteed a t-shirt. 

$50 5k  - Register before Oct. 6th to secure your t-shirt. 

$25 Fun Run, per runner - Register before Oct. 6th to secure your t-shirt. 

$35 Lazy Devil (Sleep in, still rock the t-shirt!) - Register before Oct. 6th to secure your t-shirt. 

FAQs so you're ready for RLTD 2023! 

Q. Do you have to register to attend the event? 
A. We would love for all non-runner attendees to register for FREE. We’d love for you to join us even if you don’t run. There will be live music, food trucks, and lots of fun to be had! 

Q. Where do I park? 
A. Head to 3883 Betsy Kerrison Parkway (you'll see a big dark fence). Once you turn into the driveway, you will follow the road for 1.5 miles, where you'll meet our parking attendants. Please remember $10 cash for parking. 

Q: Where can I pick up my race packet? 
A. You can pick up your race packet at the registration table beginning at 9:00 AM on October 21st.

Q. Is the race chip-timed? 
A. Yes, the 5K race is chip-timed. 

Q. Are strollers welcome?
A. The 5K terrain will require all-terrain strollers. We ask that strollers start in the back. This is a very bumpy trail.

Q. Are participants permitted to walk in the races? 
A. Absolutely! Walkers are welcome in the 5K! The 5K course is a natural course with beautiful scenery. 

Q. Are dogs welcome? 
A. Yes! Pets are welcome and must be kept on a leash at all times. Please bring bags to clean up after your pets. 

Q. What does registration include? 
A. 5K registration includes: Chip-timed trail run Race t-shirt (only guaranteed to those registered prior to October 6th - extra t-shirts may be available for late registration) Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 female and top 3 male race winners. Top winners per age group will also be recognized. 

Fun Run registration includes: Race t-shirt (only guaranteed to those registered before October 6th - extra t-shirts may be available for late registration) Prizes for top 3 race winners. 

Q. How much is registration? 
A. The 5K registration is $50, and the Fun Run is $25 by October 6th. Please register in advance. T-shirts are subject to availability if you registered after Oct. 6th. 

Q. What do the funds raised support? 
A. The money raised at this event goes to the Charleston Collegiate School's Annual Fund! The CCS Annual Fund supports classroom supplies, technology, outdoor education, field trips, and many other important elements.
