Race Expo + Packet Pick-Up | Saturday, February 17th, 2024: 12:00 – 4:00 PM
Seaside Lyceum Lawn + Seaside Neighborhood School during the Expo.
Please note that you must have your packet with bib and chip to race. A parent or legal guardian must accompany a minor at packet pickup. We do not accept third party pickups. All participants must pick up their own race packets.
RACE WEEKEND TRANSPORTATION LOGISTICS
Where can I park for the Expo and Race Day?
Public parking near Seaside is extremely limited. We encourage those participating in Race Weekend events to take the complimentary shuttle (available Saturday & Sunday) from Emerald Coast Middle School at 4019 US-98 #6024, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459 Santa Rosa Beach, east of Hwy 395. Look for signage on Hwy 98 at ECMS for parking. When you get to ECMS, volunteers will direct you to an available parking lot. From the ECMS parking lot, there will be a shuttle every 10 minutes that will take you to Quincy Circle near the starting line. The shuttle is the most convenient way to get to the race. Seaside will be closed to all non-residential traffic on race day and only those with valid Parking Passes will be permitted to enter. This policy will be strictly enforced. We encourage everyone to use the shuttles that start running at 5:00 AM on Sunday. Additional parking details are available HERE - PARKING & SHUTTLES.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 17TH - SHUTTLES ARE AVAILABLE FOR EXPO AND PACKET PICKUP (12noon-4pm). For Saturday's Expo and Packet Pickup, extremely limited public parking is available and ALL residential Seaside parking will NOT be accessible to race participants. Please ride the complimentary shuttles.
SUNDAY FEBRUARY 18TH - PARKING IN SEASIDE WILL BE AVAILABLE EXCLUSIVELY TO PARKING PASS HOLDERS ON RACE DAY. For Race Day, all Seaside entry points from 30A and 395 will be closed, and only those with a valid pass will be permitted to enter. Each intersection and point of entry will be manned and this policy will be strictly enforced.
CAN I REGISTER ON RACE DAY?
Race Day registration is NOT available.
CAN I SWITCH FROM THE HALF MARATHON TO THE 5K?
Yes, but only while the 5K is open for registration, fees may apply. We anticipate that the 5K will reach its field limit well before Race Weekend.

WHAT ARE THE EVENT START TIMES?
The Half Marathon starts at 7:00 AM on Sunday, February 18, 2024. The 5K starts at 7:30 AM on Sunday, February 18, 2024.
WHAT ARE THE TIME LIMITS FOR THE RACE?
The Half Marathon course will be promptly reopened to traffic at 10:00 AM (3 hours after the start of the race.) There will not be any support for runners or walkers along the race course after 10:00 AM and participants will be directed to sidewalk. Race timing will continue on Central Square after 10:00 AM.
WHAT IS NOT ALLOWED?
Dogs, strollers and other vehicles to transport children, baby carriers, bicycles, skates and skateboards are strictly prohibited on the race course.
WHAT WILL WEATHER BE LIKE?
It’s always a beautiful day in Seaside! The weather in mid-late February is somewhat unpredictable, but the average high is around 70 degrees and the average low is about 50. Over the past 10 years, it has been as hot as 80 and as cold as 35. It might rain, it might not. Except for snowbirds and college spring-breakers, most folks find that the Gulf is still too cool for swimming during this time of year.
WHAT DRINKS ARE AVAILABLE ON THE COURSE?
Water and Powerade are available at each water station along the course.
HOW DO I GET A REFUND IF I CANNOT ATTEND?
There are absolutely no refunds.
WHERE DO I GET PHOTOS?
Complimentary finish line and event photos will be provided by the official Seaside School Race Weekend Photography Sponsor. More details will be announced soon.
